The school of Media, Film and Journalism is dedicated to the analysis and understanding of mediated communication and the realization of creative visions in film, video, audio, and multimedia forms. The curriculum incorporates media history, media theory and research, media management, and media production. The School of Media Studies offers programs and courses for graduate and undergraduate students, including an extensive continuing education curriculum. Our degrees, certificates, and continuing education courses provide strong foundations on which to build or enhance a career.
Roadrunner Radio is the Coachella Valley's award-winning college and community radio station and is a platform for College of the Desert students & faculty, rising artists and the greater Coachella Valley community. The Chaparral is published by Journalism students five times per semester at College of the Desert in The Chaparral newsroom located at KCOD 72915 Park View Drive Palm Desert, CA 92260.
