About Us

MESA is a grant-funded program for math, engineering, science or computer science students with a strong desire to transfer to a four-year institution and continue their education. The Goal of the MESA Program is to increase the number of students successfully transferring t​o four-year colleges as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) majors.

Student Eligibility

MESA serves educationally and financially disadvantages students and emphasized participation by students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields at four-year schools. Students must be majoring in a STEM field and planning on transferring to a four-year institution. If you are unable to meet all of the requirements below, you can still become a MESA Club member.

To be eligible students must meet the following criteria:

  • Declare a transfer major in a math- or science-based field
  • Be enrolled in Beginning Algebra or above
  • Demonstrate Financial need
  • Demonstrate Educational need
  • US citizenship or permanent resident
